Seether Holding On To Strings Better Left To Fray Preview
Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray is the fifth studio album by post-grunge/alternative metal band Seether. The album was produced by Brendan O'Brien and will be the only Seether album to feature guitarist Troy McLawhorn due to his departure from the band before the album release. It will be released on May 17, 2011.
This record is highly anticipated among fans of Seether, and with the release of their first single from the album titled "Country Song" set the bar high for this record. Yesterday, the band released a new song, propourtedly the second single titled "Forsaken", for those Seether fans that pre-order the album from iTunes will get a free download of "Forsaken" and additionally, the iTunes "Deluxe Version" of the album contains 5 bonus tracks.

To promote the album, on September 4, 2010, during a live show at the DuQuoin State Fair, Seether debuted a new song titled "No Resolution". Meanwhile, on March 8, 2011, Wind-Up Records released the track list and album art on the band website, along with the first single, "Country Song", on iTunes. Additionally to promote the first single and album, on March 28, 2011, Seether made an appearance on Lopez Tonight to perform the new single "Country Song" live. And on April 6, the song "Roses" became available as a free download for subscribers of the official e-mail newsletter.
Yesterday, as stated previously, the band and record label announced that the album was available for pre-order on iTunes and that "Forsaken" will be delivered free for those who choose to pre-order the album. However, you may listen to it below should you not want to pre-order the album. The song is heavy and dark lyrically, which is a great combination and Shaun Morgan's vocals are super.
