#5458 kdbsync.exe has stopped working fix

Posted by Karl on 19 November 2012 - 06:30 PM

If you have an ATI Card you may have discovered an error when you login to windows which reads "Kdbsync.exe has stopped working"

To fix this:

Go to Programs and features (or Programs in Windows 8) which can be found in the Control Panel.

Click the AMD Catalyst Install Manager to highlight it.
Above you should see a button that says 'Change'. Click that.
Now Click Uninstall Manager, Click Next
Then Click on custom and press Next again.
Tick the box for AMD APP SDK Runtime, then click Next
Now Click Finish. You're done. The issue should be resolved.

#4694 Nvidia Riva TNT2 (Model64/Model 64 Pro) Windows 7 Driver

Posted by Karl on 15 April 2011 - 04:36 AM

Windows 7 and Windows Vista both fail to recognize the Nvidia Riva TNT2 (Model64/Model 64 Pro) which means you are restricted to a low resolution.

To fix this you need to download and install This Program

It will give you a warning notice during installation which you can ignore and you will need to perform a restart but it does work.

#3130 Windows 7 - ATI Radeon 9200 SE Issue & Fix

Posted by Karl on 22 November 2009 - 09:43 AM

Some of you will no doubt be aware that Vista and Windows 7 do not Support the ATI Radeon 9200SE. Here is a full solution for those of you with the Blue Screen of Death issue on Shutdown & Restart.

This is for the 32Bit version of Windows 7. I doubt this fix will function on the 64Bit version of Windows 7.

1) Download the Windows 2000 Driver for the Card from the ATI Website. Use option 2 (Driver Only) or from Here

2) Once the download has completed, simply right click it, click properties and run it in Compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 2, also tick Run as Administrator.

3) After applying the settings, run the download. Let it extract, and then allow the Installation to complete, however decline the option to restart immediately.

4) Now, go to the System32 Folder and cut the ati2dvag.dll to your desktop.

5) Log out, and log back in. By this point, your graphics will look terrible and you'll be cursing me but have faith!

6) Take the ati2dvag.dll and paste it back into the System32 folder.

7) Restart your PC.

You've done it! No more Blue Screen of Death.

Note; This tutorial may work on other ATI Cards no longer supported by Windows 7, but do it at your own risk. Winxperts accept no responsibility for loss of data, limbs or life.
There is a chance this will work with Windows 8 too.

If you do have to go back to Windows XP, use This Guide to make it look and feel like Windows 7
