Download

I have attached an Orb you may like to use. Attached File  6809.bmp (34.23K)
Number of downloads: 3

To restore the default Start Orb and explorer from the backup, click Restore Original Explorer Backup.
The author recommends "Before changing from one custom orb to another custom orb, I’d suggest you first Restore Original Explorer Backup and go back to the defaults and then change over to another custom orb"

For Windows 7 to allow you to change your theme to a custom one, simply install 'this' patch

Then install a theme you like from 'here' . I personally like 'this one' and simply alter the color intensity to make it more aesthetically pleasing! For a theme to install and work properly, ensure you place it under Windows\Resources\Themes

Nice one Karl. Thanks for posting this, although, I don't generally change my themes because most of them look hidious to be honest. Also, the default settings are just fine with me, it's not like in the XP days where you needed to change your visual style to make it more pleasing to look at, moreover, Windows XP default luna theme wasn't all that bad, but the others were terrible. I was big into customizing my desktop with themes and changing the login screen when I used XP but not now because Windows Vista and 7 are aesthetically much better than XP.

Of course, I do modify my login screen but only because it's something I can easily do it by overwriting an image, definently a lot easier than it used to be.

No problem bill, i enjoy customizing my Operating System where and when i can. The Orb is only a small part but allows you to make Windows 7 your own!
