I've tried to make a light and easy to read review rather than an essay. Note: We are indeed sharing the new build, at the bottom of this Review. Grab it and try it!

New Windows Live Installer bringing all the Live packages together, no doubt designed to fit in with Vista. However it looks nice regardless of the OS your Running. Notice how simple its become to choose what features you'd like installed with Live Messenger.

New Progress Bar and an 'You've almost done!' Screen which reminds me very much of the end of an XP Installation. It seems there is a concentrated effort on bringing to your attention current Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live features...and it fails so use the Messenger.msi file if you download the new build!

The New theme is somewhat lighter and easy on the eyes. Contacts and Settings are now on the left as opposed to the right, not exciting but a nice change. Also if someone submits a message and immediately follows it up with another message the '{name} Says' missed out completely and the two messages are joined together. Fancy eh? Also you can drag and drop favourite Contacts.

Anyway thats about it, find everything else out for yourself. Its a nice looking build and it runs rather well. In options i note how you can use Custom Sounds for events such as Nudge, that is very cool!

Hey Karl, it uses aero on Windows Vista, as well as there are WPF effects in this current build.

This version of messenger is probably the best one i've used. I like the ability to sign into mulitiple locations and not worry about being signed out on my primary PC.

Yeah, i keep repeating it but i really think the theme is the nicest i seen in a long time for WLM, there was one from another beta a few years ago that i loved, but when the next beta came out it became impossible to login and use :lol:

Yeah i loved the looks off beta 1, it looked a lot better in Vista then the current look of WLM.
