[Updated] Tapatalk Forum Plugin

The tapatalk plugin has been updated to the latest 2.1.0 for the WinXperts forums, The previous plugin was not allowing some users to login via tapatalk. Those issues should be fixed now.

New Winxperts Version in the Works

I'm pleased to say that we have already started work on a new look that will replace Fluid & Fluid X on both the portal and forums. We will soon be updating the forums to a new version of IPB and then the exciting stuff will begin!

Note: We will be keeping the Fluid & Fluid X Skins too.

Winxperts Silverlight Video Player [Submit Feedback]

Winxperts Silverlight Video Player (Currently the codename) will allow users to play videos which they upload to our website (currenty in the works). In addition, it will allow our staff to post news that accompanies an article, by using a player with our brand and will help give notice to the site should other sites link to the article with the player, or embed the player in their website for streaming our content.

The player is currently in beta testing, and while it is currently being used on our website for various articles and in the forums, please take note, that any features present in this version are subject to change. Here is a list of things you can expect from this post:

A listing of current features that are present in the player.
Features that have been deprecated (removed).
Features that have been added.Features that have been changed (and what changes were made).
A demo player embedded in this post, that will allow users to test it out and give their feedback.
The current version number of the player.
The dates of feature changes.

XML Playlist Formatting

The XML Playlist you intend to use must be formatted using the following format. The artist element as well as the image element is optional, however you must specify a title and uri (a link to the media file). The image link (link to image for video or audio file) and uri link (link to video or audio file - for more on supported file types see "Supported Media").

The image and uri (link to media file) must be hosted either on Winxperts or elsewhere to be played.The XML file may be hosted either on Winxperts, or elsewhere and must have a name like "Example.xml".

Customize Your Winxperts Profile

You can customize your Winxperts Profile quite easily.

Simply click the arrow next to your Username in the top right corner, then click Settings.
Now click the Profile tab

From here you can change many settings.

You can upload a custom background image for your Winxperts Profile page by clicking Profile Customization on the left hand side.

To view changes click the arrow next to your Username in the top right corner, then click My Profile.

This is a video showing off some of the features for our new Silverlight video player. The player, is currently being used in both our forums and in some of our news articles that i've posted. I have been routinely updating it over the past week, and adding new things and changing some funtionality. The video below, although hosted on YouTube shows off some of the funtionality in the current version that is deployed on our site. If you would like to play with it and test it out and let me know of any improvements and suggestions, please feel free to post below this topic. I will add the player below the YouTube video player so you can play around with it and tell me what you think of it.
