Some people have found that in Windows 8 7850 that despite them enabling Aero, it is disabled again after a Restart.

Here is the fix

Download Take ownership. After extracting, add InstallTakeOwnership.reg to your registry.

Now go to the resources\themes folder and right click aero.theme and press 'Take Ownership' Repeat the process for aero.style. Now place both files somewhere else for safekeeping.

Download aerolite.theme and place it in the resources\themes folder.

Double-Click and install the theme. Try restarting, the problem should be solved.
