Winxperts Silverlight Video Player (Currently the codename) will allow users to play videos which they upload to our website (currenty in the works). In addition, it will allow our staff to post news that accompanies an article, by using a player with our brand and will help give notice to the site should other sites link to the article with the player, or embed the player in their website for streaming our content.

The player is currently in beta testing, and while it is currently being used on our website for various articles and in the forums, please take note, that any features present in this version are subject to change. Here is a list of things you can expect from this post:

A listing of current features that are present in the player.
Features that have been deprecated (removed).
Features that have been added.Features that have been changed (and what changes were made).
A demo player embedded in this post, that will allow users to test it out and give their feedback.
The current version number of the player.
The dates of feature changes.

XML Playlist Formatting

The XML Playlist you intend to use must be formatted using the following format. The artist element as well as the image element is optional, however you must specify a title and uri (a link to the media file). The image link (link to image for video or audio file) and uri link (link to video or audio file - for more on supported file types see "Supported Media").

The image and uri (link to media file) must be hosted either on Winxperts or elsewhere to be played.The XML file may be hosted either on Winxperts, or elsewhere and must have a name like "Example.xml".
