[VenomFX]

Personally i think the build runs great, it seems stable enough and runs quickly. I find it a bit annoying to switch from the Immersive UI to Explorer just to use an Application but that's to be expected.


Keyboard Shortcuts

what happens when you try?

The dvd will not boot from start up. It will install over my win 7 but hay who wants to do that. Not sure if its just a burn error.

Sounds like a Burn error. Mine installed properly with dual boot with Win7. I even got a spiffy new selection screen.

Run setup from the sources folder within windows 7, it should let you create a dual boot...obviously tread carefully.

Yes the new dual boot gfx is very nice.

There is now an app that allows you to switch between the immersive/metro ui and the windows 7 style startmenu with classic explorer

I did get it to install thanks to karls advice but then it would not shut down so i had to force it to shut down and that managed to feck up the MBR so had to take it back to factory settings. Lost loads of data so not going to try it again.

I can tell you form personal experience that shutting down or even restarting Win8 at times can take multiple tries. I have had it happen to me multiple times where I clicked Restart, it would go through the process then go back to my desktop. I had to them go through the process again and it did the same thing. It took me like 3 tries or more to finally get it to restart. But it finally did. Along with that, the shut down process can take a bit longer than Win7. When I went through my massive program install it took Win8 almost 15 minutes to go through the restart process. Much longer than it ever did for any previous version. Guess that is why this is a Preview and not even the Beta yet.

It did do me a favour though alex as i was due a clean up. Just got lazy and did not do a backup first so stupid me lol

Yeah I am due for a fresh install myself. Thank goodness I got Win8 operating the way I want so that I don't have to waste a day redoing Win7.
