Greetings all,

It has been a long time since I have been here and it certainly has changed. Very nice. I however do not come with just compliments but alas a problem I have not seen before.

The system is a HP Media server m8000 running vista 64b. The system had started randomly rebooting itself on random occurrences and progressed to blue screen and now boots the system to the blue HP screen... I press F11 for system recovery and the picture shows what I get... Any ideas or suggestions?

There used to be something called "Code Purple" (not sure if this is the same) but, basically, it meant that a system configuration error had occured...

I'll keep researching this one... It's a weird one that's for sure! lol But in the meantime, check all peripherals (hdd, ram, etc...). Also, try and reset the bios settings to default and see if that changes anything.

Before seeing this post I gave it one more shot to restore itself. It did without a hitch this time. Very odd though, im getting a feeling that this will not be the last time I'm working on this CPU before the end or the year.
