I thought that after Microsoft released Millennium that I couldn't POSSIBLY be let down any further, form the time they took a step away from 3.11 with Networking... I think it's been a down hill fall ever since, now don't get me wrong, they do have their moments when the hills go upwards a little to slow you down a bit before plummeting you further into the shit hole, but it's not enough to save them. 31.. lead to 95 yeah okay, it was hip, it was cool, it was all the rave. 98 came out.. and wtf Microsoft just WTF... I mean seriously. Then Came ME wow and I though 98 was a let down. And then 2000 yeah the first NT base, that was gg imho, but then came XP, our savior. At first it was the plague, the very thing we didn't want to touch. As time went on and we began to see the wonderful things it offered, and eventually we all climbed aboard shortly after they started launching service packs. Finally we hear of Blackcomb, or well some of us did, and about how it would have sooooooo much to offer us, and how amazing it would make your computer using become. But right as we started to get hooked, they put it on hold... they put it on hold for Longhorn. Beautiful, amazing, Linux rip off, Longhorn. Vista, you worthless piece of existence even after the service pack launched I still find myself cursing at the computer and threatening to uninstall it daily (or well I did until I actually did uninstall it). Now came time for production of Vienna (what use to be Blackcomb). Vienna the one thing that kept my head up and kept me wishing that Vista would just come already, so I didn't have to hurt anymore. BOY WAS I WRONG. All those lies you told us about how amazing Vienna was going to be, they all got stripped away when you Named it Windows 7 and the light came to my eyes. No longer is it the change of the computer world, or the change we've long awaited.... it's going to be Vista 2.0.

Now I dunno about you, but I'm highly disappointed, as if you couldn't tell, and I really don't know why they decided to change their minds. But when are they going to help PUSH the technology industry FORWARD instead of offering to hold us back? One of the big promises was the promise of a 64 bit only os... now they are planning 32 and 64? I'm a sad panda once again. I had such high hopes for Blackcomb, and maybe that's why it makes me so angry, but that's what I get for believing in Microsoft once again. I guess only time will tell if some other company will take the reigns and man up to what needs to be done, or if we're going to be stuck behind the wall that Microsoft has built.

Anyone else disgusted? Please fill free to express yourself here, I've barely begun to discuss my distaste, but I'm sure many of you, as I've spoken with some of you, may feel similar.

Just as an addition, I think I honestly enjoy the Server versions of operating systems more... every since I installed 2008 I've had less operating system issues, lags, reboots, and all around problems. I just wish Microsoft would get their act together :P
