Despite being on medical leave, a frail looking Steve Jobs spoke at the launch event for the iPad 2.

The new device will be 8.8mm thick, which is thinner than its predecessor and even the iphone. It is also lighter, weighing 1.3 pounds.

Consumers will be able to get their hands on the device from March 11th in the US with prices starting from $499. Other countries will get it from the 25th.
