
At 12:01 players all across the world were getting there hands on the much awaited and highly anticipated newest addition to the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
Midnight launch event's were held at several stores throughout the United States, and around the globe, most notable event's were New York City, New York, USA, Los Angeles, California and several other cities across the world.
Most of the launch event's had "first to play" event's which have become a standard when it comes to a launch of a Call of Duty title.
Of course, what's a launch of a new service without a little trouble, all didn't quite go as planned for Activision with the launch of Call of Duty Elite, the company's new "Social gaming service", the service got overloaded with registration requests and subsequently took the registration system offline.
Chacko Sonny, Studio Head, Beachhead Studio, said:
