Some owners of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, are now able to update their devices to Android 2.3 using the PC Companion software.

At this moment in time the update is available only on some networks, in certain countries.

New features include full Facebook integration and better Wi-Fi functionality, however the Back-Up And Restore application will be removed.

Sony warn that should you choose to update your device, contacts and messages saved to the devices internal storage will be lost.
